Liberty Mutual Global Specialty IT, Inforamtion Management is actively searching for a Principal ETL Developer. Global Specialty IT provides support and operations for all global specialty lines including Liberty International Underwriters (LIU), Liberty Specialty Markets (LSM), Liberty Mutual Surety (LMS), and A&H (Accident and Health) across 19 countries, through one unified IT team. In this position, you will play an integral role in the transformation, storage, and delivery of analytical data to end users that will be used to make key business decisions.
In this role you will provide technical consulting on complex to highly complex financial project. Devises or modifies procedures to solve medium to highly complex problems. Leads projects or subprojects of medium to high technical complexity and responsible for directing and monitoring the work of team members. Responsible for system analysis, design, coding, testing, debugging, and documentation. Responsible for quality assurance review. Provides coaching and guidance to team.
Requires expertise in writing, performance tuning, and troubleshooting of T-SQL stored procedures, functions, and views.
Performs complex to highly complex source code development.
Assists in complex to highly complex unit test case development.
Assists in the development of production support documentation.
Provides functional/system integration testing support.
Performs Quality Assurance architecture and design guide review.
Contributes complex to highly complex technical alternatives.
Conducts complex to highly complex impact analysis.
Develops complex to highly complex component design.
Provides complex to highly complex system/application architecture.
Develops Build and Deployment guide.
Provides accurate estimates of work effort (task, time, etc.)
Qualifications:
Bachelor''s or Master''s degree in technical or business discipline or equivalent experience, technical degree preferred.
Generally 8 years of professional experience.
Advanced Level knowledge of Microsoft Integration Services (2005, 2008, and 2012).
Thorough knowledge of database concepts, strategies, methodologies, and best practices.
Thorough understanding of data cleansing terminology and practices.
Experience in working in fast paced development environment with extremely tight deadlines.
Must possess the ability to multitask and work on multiple projects simultaneously.
Must have proven track record of both working independent and as a team lead and subject matter expert on small to large scale projects.
Thorough knowledge of a business function(s) and I/T industry business issues; extensive knowledge of business operations, strategies and objectives.
Strong negotiation, facilitation and consensus building skills. Strong oral and written communication skills; presentation skills.
Microsoft SQL Server replication and Change Data Capture experience a plus.
Understanding of C# object oriented development a plus.
Experience with insurance and underwriting data a plus.
