Liberty Mutual Global Specialty IT, Architecture is actively searching for a talented Senior Architect to join the team. Global Specialty IT provides support and operations for all global specialty lines including Liberty International Underwriters (LIU), Liberty Specialty Markets (LSM), Liberty Mutual Surety (LMS), and A&H (Accident and Health) across 19 countries, through one unified IT team.
In this position, you will lead the creation and solutions and portfolio roadmaps, in support of Global Specialty business that reflect business direction and indicate rationalization and solution architecture(s).
Responsible for the implementation of technology by developing clear, comprehensive and integrated system, technical and/or product recommendations which support business plans and long term strategy. Reviews and provides input to designs to ensure consistency, maintainability and flexibility. Analyzes highly complex system and technical issues to implement technologies that align with strategic technical direction. Plans and manages execution of technology migrations. May leads projects or subprojects of strategic impact.
Responsibilities:
Create globally scalable Architecture solutions utilizing modern technologies (e.g., Ruby on Rails, .Net, Java, MongoDB, AWS) in support of our business goals worldwide

Mentor technologists and developers using hands on skills
Lead technical developers; own and review deliverables for accuracy, quality, performance, and completeness
Lead development of prototypes and PoCs to demonstrate new ideas or illustrate use of new technologies to solve business problems

Work with the Global Specialty IT (GSIT) Leadership team and colleagues within the Business and Information Architecture team to develop the overall vision for the architecture function and effectively and consistently communicate this to key stakeholders
Embrace opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge; evangelize new tools, methodologies, and technologies within development teams
Pursues and builds relationships across business and IT to gather intelligence and bring insight about the wider picture
Gathers feedback that help GS IT improve and evolve the quality and type of Architecture services provided
Review the worldwide request funnel for IT Solutions and assess their strategic and architectural fit
Ensure that Enterprise Architecture guidance and direction is fully considered throughout the entire project lifecycle, most importantly upfront, through the Vision and Roadmaps for a Solution and then into the delivery
Leverages other Architecture Domain Experts to provide comprehensive impact assessment and guidance
Drive globalization of business capabilities and determine redundancy and re-engineering opportunities through the use of the Architecture framework
Participate in development of Warehousing, Reporting and Analytics initiatives
Support the development of business and information architecture governance structures and compliance activities, ensuring that Architecture is recognized as a game changer by appropriately balancing what is right with what is realistic through practical project governance and guidance
Contribute to the creation and maintenance of a process and repository for the documentation and storage of business and information architecture artifacts, including conceptual and logical architectures
Qualifications:
Bachelor''s or Master''s degree in technical discipline; Master''s preferred
10 years of architecture experience in web applications development in a complex, multi-platform distributed environment with Object Oriented languages (Ruby, .Net, Java)
Extensive experience in layered solutions and designs, diverse technical configurations, across multiple technologies and processing environments
Experience implementing high traffic, enterprise level, web applications with focus on scalability and security
Familiarity with web application security topics such as SAML, SSL, etc.
In-depth expertise in design patterns and implementations supporting technical architecture
Familiar with new and emerging technologies (e.g., HTML5/CSS3/JS, JSON, jQuery, AngularJs, KnockoutJS, SOAP, REST, MongoDB etc.)
REST/Service Oriented Architecture experience
Demonstrate understanding and skill behind cross browser concerns and its impact on web application architecture
Experience working in an iterative or agile development environment
Strong leadership, coaching and hands on mentoring skills supported by experience
Strong personal interaction skills and ability to lead distributed teams
Service Bus experience is a plus
Experience developing HTML5 based applications including rich internet applications and single web page applications using RESTful services, JSON, and/or WebSockets is a plus
Experience in building multi-language and global solutions is a plus
eCommerce experience is a plus
Knowledge of AWS is a plus

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
