Description: This position is responsible for supporting the administration of the Contract Desk, providing analysis, and participating in decision making as required by the Pricing Group.
Duties:
Support Administration of the Pricing Desk:
Developing price quotations for Sprague customers in support of a variety of fixed forward contract sales programs, including contract terms negotiations and managing the execution of associated hedges.
Consistent with daily E-Commerce sales objectives, independently monitoring and adjusting pricing differentials within Sprague-s real-time
Internet based E-commerce contract sales program based on changes in intra-day market conditions and analysis of the competitive market environment.
Executing NYMEX transactions for Oil Traders in their absence (can be 2-5 times daily)
Executing order confirmations for fixed priced contracts.
Daily monitoring of customer contract performance to assure contract obligations are fulfilled within terms.
Managing Sprague-s portfolio of fixed price contracts across a variety of back office systems and all applicable interfaces
Fostering relationships with all applicable departments to identify and implement ways to improve management, daily process requirements, and expansion of the Program
Ensuring the Contract Price Desk has coverage during all NYMEX market hours
Managing price disputes for the fixed forward price desk and coordinating resolutions as needed
Provide analysis to support strategic and daily decision analysis to support strategic and daily decision making:
Managing price data collection and warehousing
Providing hedge, credit and risk analysis as required for customers and management
Designing reports and presentations as required
Identifying and implementing ways to improve analytical support for strategic and daily decision making
Providing analysis on the overall Fixed Forward program to help forecast forward inventory requirements in an effort to improve overall margins of the program.
Other duties as required
Qualifications:
Bachelor-s degree and/or 2-4 years office experience in an energy industry environment.
Strong Excel skills required
Preference given to candidates with Solarc experience
Advanced computer literacy
Basic analytical experience
Ability to work independently, prioritize workload, perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment and relate to customers/outside contacts and fellow employees.
Verbal and written communication skills
Ability to operate basic office equipmentEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
