Summary:
This position acts as a critical link between Hartree HSE and our business unitsAs the HSE Business Unit Manager you will have the responsibility for the overall HSE compliance of the Sprague US Terminals business unitIn this position, you will report to the Director of Risk Compliance and work closely with the corporate environment, safety, and sustainability teams to achieve HSE related goals, objectives, performance standards, and to ensure regulatory complianceYou will directly support the Sprague US Terminals business unit leadership to advise, consult, and develop strategic plans to address HSE related issues and initiatives.

Responsibilities:
Liaison between the business unit (Sprague US Terminals) and Hartree HSE to drive overall performance on HSE related goals and objectives, standardization, regulatory compliance, permitting requirements, HSE initiatives, and the development of the business unit HSE budgetWork closely with the corporate HSE teams on any major emergency responses, media issues, agency inspections, regulatory violations, internal audits, customer audits, and high HSE risk related issuesManage day-to-day HSE field compliance matters within the Sprague US Terminals business unitImplement and update HSE policies and procedures, regulatory compliance plans, permitting requirements, HSE training, and emergency preparednessManage HSE and security incident investigations, reporting, and lessons learnedWork with corporate HSE to track and report business unit specific HSE key performance indicatorMaintain the business unit HSE Management System to ensure proper recordkeeping of all HSE related dataMaintain good working relationships with local, state, provincial, and federal regulatorsBe the primary Sprague US Terminals business unit lead for all government HSE inspections and/or auditsJob
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Engineering, Environmental Science, or HSE related fieldMinimum 10 years of directly related professional experience in HSE and SecurityDemonstrate knowledge of, field compliance experience, and interaction with regulators from EPA, USCG, OSHA, and Local/State environmental agenciesProven experience in implementing various HSE and security compliance programs, emergency responses, incident investigations, and various agency reports Must be familiar with various compliance plans such as SWPPP, SPCC, FRP, ERAP, FPP, EAP, P2/WMP, GHGMust have completed training in OSHA general H&S industry, HAZWOPER, and RCRA, including annual refreshers, as necessaryProven negotiation and problem-solving skills leading to decision making requiredExperience in bulk fuel oil terminal and associated pipeline operations are highly desired.
Must have keen ability to develop excellent working relationships with people of varied backgrounds and levels of responsibilities Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interactions both internal and external are required Recommended Skills Leadership Coordinating Operations Continuous Improvement Process Mentorship Decision Making Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
