Water Country - P&O Assistant Roles &
Responsibilities:
The P&O Assistant will be responsible for assisting the People & Organization team with recruitment, training and development, records management, retention and employee relations strategies.
The P&O Assistant will have the following
Responsibilities:
Professionally represent Water Country to all applicants, Team Members, and business partners Assist the P&O department with recruitment activities such as promoting open positions and planning and/or attending job fairs Assist the P&O Supervisor with management of Onboarding tasks for up to 300 seasonal team members including 40 J-1 Assist with the preparation and recordkeeping of the general orientation program to ensure completion from all team members Oversee the operation of the Wardrobe area including accurate inventory counts Assist the P&O team with the development and implementation of new procedures, policies, forms, etc.
Distributes paychecks bi-weekly to employees Reviews payroll records daily checking for errors Assist the P&O team with planning and execution of Team Member Events, both at the park and at local venues Assist with administrative tasks including but not limited to answering the phone, distributing mail, and basic guest service Other duties as assigned The ideal candidate for this role will have the following skills/
Experience:
Applicant must be at least 18 years of age College course work or prior experience in Human Resources preferred but not required Must be able to demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and handle sensitive materials Excellent organizational skills and ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously Ability to work in a fast paced environment and meet deadlines in an efficient manner Computer experience required, especially with MS Office Products including:
Word, Excel, Power Point.
Any prior experience with Workday is preferred.
Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Some offsite travel will be required This position requires standing, walking, crouching, bending, stooping, twisting, kneeling, lifting, and pushing - Ability to frequently lift, carry, or otherwise move and position items and boxes weighing up to 25 pounds Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in varying climates Team member
