The Opportunity:
Reporting to the VP of Finance, the Controller will play a pivotal role in building out the accounting infrastructure to scale the company.
The Position:
The Controller oversees the accounting operations of the company, including the production of periodic financial reports, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of the company's reported financial results, and ensure that reported results comply with US GAAP.
The Controller's responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Lead the supervision of general ledger and accounting operations and systems, guaranteeing adherence to relevant GAAP standards and regulatory mandates, while upholding precise financial records.
Deliver thorough, timely, and precise financial reports to the organization, ensuring informed decision-making.
Apply company policies and procedures to the current economic environment, guiding financial decisions effectively.
Create, execute, and uphold financial controls and guidelines to uphold financial integrity.
Direct the management of systems ensuring effective company cash control, including cash flow forecasting and oversight of robust cash control policies.
Drive payroll efficiency enhancements through the development of innovative processes.
Collaborate in developing and reinforcing short- and long-term operational strategies, contributing to organizational success.
Qualifications:
Strong leadership skills with 1-3 years of proven success in managing and developing teams.
Extensive experience in similar roles, with 5
years of progressively responsible experience in accounting.
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field, or equivalent business experience.
Must have experience in a multi-entity environment.
Healthcare industry experience is not required.
Must have experience with Treasury/Cash Management and Cash Forecasting.
Strong management and development skills.
Excellent communication and presentation skills (both written and verbal) and ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
Familiarity with the healthcare industry or related fields.
Proficiency in relevant software such as Great Plains, Microsoft Office (especially SharePoint, Word, and Excel), and other spreadsheet, database, and practice management applications.
