Description: Sprague Resources, the regions largest distributor of industrial fuels and the industry choice for bulk and break-bulk materials handling, is looking for a Natural Gas Billing Specialist to join our Accounting team.

This position will accurately manage and invoice customer accounts by utilizing the gas management system, working with operations staff, sales personnel and utility personnel.
Duties:
Ensure accurate invoicing of customers based upon contracts, volumetric information and utility parameters.
Conduct research for credits and process rebillings as necessary.
Serve as the back-up contact on all invoicing issues.
Enhance internal documentation of the billing process and suggest improvements to the current design that will allow for greater efficiencies, accuracy and control.
Assist in the reconciliation of accrued charges related to utility driven cumulative inventory and prior period cashouts.
Other ad hoc duties as required.
Overtime as required.
Qualifications:
Natural Gas experience strongly preferred.
Bachelor-s degree in Accounting/Business preferred.
Accounting and/or billing experience with complex products or services preferred
Strong analytical and mathematical aptitude.
Detail oriented.
Advanced computer literacy with the ability to adapt to new systems quickly.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to relate to customers, outside contacts and fellow employees.
Ability to work independently, prioritize workload, perform under pressure in a fast paced environment.
