The Commercial Lines CSR/Rating Specialist, under minimal supervision, is responsible for:
Rating a full range of Property and Casualty insurance policies and endorsements per program guidelines
Reviews new business and renewal applications, underwriter instructions and requests for policy changes
May retrieve supporting rates and other rating information utilizing various on-line resources
Performs calculations for accurate and timely policy and endorsement premium charges utilizing company rating systems
Must frequently exercise initiative, independent judgment and problem solving skills
Qualifications:
Associates Degree or equivalent preferred
Certificate in General Insurance obtained or in process with goal to complete within one year (AINS - Intro, Ethics, INS21, INS22, INS23)
2 -3 years of commercial insurance and/or rating experience
Must demonstrate a basic knowledge of property and casualty insurance coverages and rating knowledge
Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
Prior experience with automated rating systems preferred
Exceptional organizational skills, math skills, attention to detail and accuracy a must
Must be flexible and able to multi-task

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
