Construction Manager-Military Installation/DoD / Federal/Commissary / Grocery Store

An engineering and construction client has an immediate need for a Construction Manager for a local military installation in Portsmouth, NH. This is a 7 month CONTRACT assignment, with the possibility of becoming Permanent. Local candidates preferred. No per diem is available for this position.
Responsibilities for the Construction Manager
Coordinate all communications between the contractor and government team
Provide daily inspection and oversight of the contractor's work in accordance with government design drawings, specifications & criteria, and national, state and local codes, regulations and authorities
Process and route RFI's, monitor contractor's scheduler performance, and develop scopes of work, estimates and documents necessary to manage the change order process
Requirements for the Construction Manager
BS Degree in Construction Management, Architecture or Engineering with 5
years of practical field experience in project management or contract administration
Experience with construction in a DoD or Federal environment and Commissary / Grocery Store construction
Experience in vertical and horizontal construction, preferably on major federal construction projects
Familiarity with CPM scheduling and RS Means estimating procedures
